The goal of this project was to help the client identify specific actions to become a 21st century innovation district. The district faces the challenges of congestion, sprawl and lack of mixed use and the recommendations encompassed smart infrastructure, technology-friendly public policy, and truly symbiotic public-private partnerships.

Urban development recommendations focus on openness, interoperability, modularity, future compatibility, transparency, and readiness for experiment. The strategies for implementation include real-time urban design; city-as-a-platform; seamless mobility. The recommendations included a series of projects to be implemented in the near-term to help move Denver South forward.

John Tolva and Gabe Klein were the consultants/advisors for this project.
