MARC Vision Zero

Cityfi created a series of workshops for the Mid-America Regional Council (MARC) Vision Zero Virtual Summit. The MARC Vision Zero Virtual Summit is an opportunity to explore the concepts around Vision Zero, to educate and build awareness among the region’s community stakeholders, leaders, and practitioners to proactively address public safety and the inequitable impacts on our most vulnerable community members.

Vision

By convening thought leaders, community builders, policy makers and interested stakeholders, the Vision Zero Summit is an opportunity to learn with peers about how cities of all sizes are taking action to make our streets safer for all users, but most critically children, elderly, people living with disabilities, pedestrians, cyclists, and other vulnerable road users.

Method

Cityfi created a series of workshops consisting of a three-week sprint to help a cohort of up to 8 MARC-area jurisdictions to develop an actionable plan to advance Vision Zero policies and best practices to improve mobility outcomes, particularly for the communities with the greatest need. Specifically, Cityfi assisted in policy writing, identification of opportunities, tools, capacity for implementation, measuring success, and prioritizing next steps.
