The original MI Future Mobility Plan established Michigan’s first whole-of-government strategy to strengthen and sustain the state’s leadership as a global center of mobility innovation, manufacturing and talent. While accomplishing many of the plan’s initial goals, Michigan faced an increasingly competitive landscape and growing national and global competition for skilled talent, business investment and expansion, and job growth.
To meet the moment, the Michigan Office of Future Mobility and Electrification (OFME) retained Cityfi to develop an updated strategy - the MI Future Mobility Plan 2.0 - as a unified and aligned multi-agency roadmap to capture and catapult mobility-driven economic growth. Cityfi worked closely with the multiple departments comprising OFME— a unique cross-agency entity spanning transportation, labor, economic development and environment. The resulting product was a cohesive vision supported by actionable strategies, clear priorities and meaningful metrics.
